Home

We are home now, and you can tell by this picture what I will be filling my time with over the weekend. This is what comes after 5 days of camping in the rain.
By the way, I found Alli posed this way while I worked around the house. I guess she thought it was a suitable, comfy place to rest. Camping wore us all out!

That picture reminds me of when we drove 12 junior campers, including our older son, home from camp. After dropping the other kids off at church, we returned home and started the laundry right away. I opened my son's suitcase and discovered that most of his clothes had not been worn.

He admitted to showering only once during his camp week after the mud pit, and he used no shampoo. He also changed clothes only once that week. He took a nice long shower that night. :)

Wait, I thought camping was vacation and you were supposed to relax! How can camping wear you out?!!! ;0) Do you need a vacation to recover from your vacation?

I was beginning to wonder which you were referring to in the first couple of sentences... the laundry or the baby??!?! LOL OK - maybe that wasn't funny, but it was funny to me! :-)

Rose, I'm afraid I have heard that tale more than once from parents of tween boys. At least you didn't have a ton of laundry to do!

Tina, alas, as it seems with all vacations, they wear you out! Yes, I could use a vacation from my vacation, but I won't hold my breath for it!

Mitch, the laundry was more work, because we got home and bathed and put the kids to bed and Allison slept for 15 hours that night!

I think mitchells might have meant something else, like what comes after 5 days of camping--the laundry or the baby? ;)
