Looks like Someone knows her birthday is coming up . . .
Yes, that's an American Girl doll catalog. You know, the one's with $100 dolls. I think she will need to wait until she is older than 2 before we invest in a doll like that!
Ha, Ha. We were fortunate to be introduced to these lovely $100 dolls by my nieces whose Grandma Paid for them for all 5 of the girls. GULP!
I think we waited until they were 6, but if they are a careful child and not prone to recklessness, 5 would be fine. They really are made quite well and are beautiful...my one regret......My daughters grew up and outgrew them too fast. Boo Hoo
That's going to be Madison's only gift this year when she turns 5. We're going to have mom watch Ethan while we take her to Michigan Ave for the day to pick one out. We both wanted to buy one for her when we were there last fall but really thought she'd appreciate it more if she saw what it was all about for herself. Can't believe our babies are almost 2. Madison got into preschool this coming fall so now I'm also old enough to have a kid in school. Ugghh!! :)
Fortunately for our bank account, my girls have not seen any of those catalogs. They were introduced to one at Gretchen's house--thanks alot Gret!--but I think they have forgotten about her. Whew.....
You are right to wait, but DO let her get an American Girl! They are the best dolls ever. Mine will turn 21 this summer, and she's in as good of shape as ever. I have all her clothes and things boxed up together, and everything.

Her hair is really starting to grow - so cute!
They start young. :) Our firstborn will turn 11 tomorrow. Hard to believe!

Um, yeah, Sarah, you can tell them I got her when I turned 9, and I paid half myself.
